A Lebanese artist based in the United Arab Emirates.
Why ‘‘Countless Fingerprints’’?
Because each circle is made one by one using my fingers and then attached all together to build a unique distinguished piece, so if you come closer you can notice my fingerprints stamped on the circles…
As an artist, “fields” and ‘‘wind’’ have always been a source of inspiration for me.
I grew up in Lebanon in a small village called ‘‘Zeghdraya’’ in my parents house that was surrounded by fields and mountains.
From a young age I spent countless hours exploring the beauty of nature in the fields, feeling the wind on my face and listening to the trees.
And now living outside my country for over a decade, this art is my way to reconnect with my roots!
Creating these pieces is a bridge that brings the sights, sounds, feelings and memories that are engraved inside my mind !
If I close my eyes I can remember, I can feel, I can smell and I can live that moment…I can see myself sitting in the field in Zeghdraya hearing nothing but the wind I can see how the wind is moving the grass, how the trees are dancing because of the wind, I can feel the wind blowing in my hair, I can feel the peace, the silence, the serenity…
And by doing this type of Art, I think I’m trying to draw this memory? I think I'm trying to draw these peaceful movements of the wind in the Field … or maybe I’m trying to deliver to you the peace inside this moment!
